Tata Electronics' new plant in TN begins iPhone production: Report

A new Tata Electronics plant in Tamil Nadu's Hosur started operations in recent days to make older iPhone models on one assembly line, Reuters reported. Another under-construction plant run by Taiwan's Foxconn in Bengaluru will also start initial operations with one assembly line within days. This comes as Apple looks to boost manufacturing beyond tariff-hit China, its main manufacturing hub.
