Tata Group in talks to buy stake in Jet Airways: Reports

Tata Group has held preliminary talks to buy a large stake in debt-laden Jet Airways, reports said. The conglomerate has reportedly sought management control of the carrier, seeking at least 26% initially and another 26% via an open offer later. Tata Group already has two aviation joint ventures – Vistara with Singapore Airlines and AirAsia India with Malaysia's AirAsia Group.
