Tata Motors may operationalise Ford's Guj plant in 12-18 months

Tata Motors is looking to operationalise Ford's Gujarat-based manufacturing plant, which it acquired from Ford earlier this month, over the next 12-18 months to scale up its production capacity. Its head of passenger vehicle business Shailesh Chandra also said the firm's production capacity currently stands at around 50,000 units a month. Tata Motors acquired the plant through a subsidiary.
