Tata Sons beats govt to become largest promoter of listed companies in India
Tata Sons ended 2020 as the largest promoter of listed companies in India, overtaking the central government. Tata Sons' stake in the group's listed companies is now worth ₹9.28 lakh crore, up 34.4% from a year ago, according to Business Standard's calculations. The government's stake in listed central public sector undertakings is valued at ₹9.24 lakh crore, down 19.7% year-on-year.
