Tata sues Dabur over 'Schezwan Chutney' product's name, says 'Dabur downplaying own brand'

Tata Group firm Capital Foods sued Dabur over use of the name 'Schezwan Chutney' for a product. In Delhi HC's notice to Dabur served last week, Capital Foods said it has invested significantly in promoting 'Schezwan Chutney' trademark and that Dabur's packaging indicates it's downplaying its own brand name. Dabur had sought cancellation of Capital Foods' trademark in October 2024.
