Taurid meteor shower to race towards Earth at one lakh kmph
The annual 'Taurid' meteor shower would be seen peaking during the weekend over Northern Hemisphere as Earth passes through debris left by Comet Encke. The shower is named so as it appears to originate from the direction of the Taurus constellation. About ten meteors are expected to burn in Earth's atmosphere each hour at speeds of over one lakh kmph.
