TCS adds over 9,200 employees in June quarter, its biggest in over a year

India's largest IT services company TCS added 9,279 employees on a net basis in the June quarter (or Q1 of FY2026-27), marking its biggest quarterly hiring in over a year. This comes as AI is triggering layoffs globally, with over 1,19,000 techies having lost their jobs so far this year. The total workforce at TCS is now 5,93,798.
