TCS overall employee count declines 1st time in 19 years

In the last fiscal year, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) experienced a decline in its employee count for the first time in 19 years. With a reduction of over 13,000 employees compared to the previous year, the company's headcount dropped to 601,546 by the end of FY24. 40,000 freshers will be hired this year, as per TCS CEO.
