TCS sees 23,000 drop in headcount in FY26, spends ₹1,260 crore on restructuring

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ended FY26 with a workforce of 5,84,519, down 23,460 from the previous financial year. The IT major reported ₹1,388 crore in restructuring expenses, according to its filings. Of this, ₹1,268 crore was utilised during the year, reflecting costs related to employee exits and related measures. The company reported a net profit of ₹49,210 crore in FY26.
