Teacher forcing girl student to accept flowers is sexual harassment: Supreme Court

A male teacher presenting flowers to a minor student and forcing her to accept them in the presence of other students is sexual harassment under POCSO Act, Supreme Court said. It, however, ordered the release of the jailed Tamil Nadu teacher in the case, citing discrepancies in evidence. Another teacher arrested for criminal intimidation of the student was also freed.
