Teachers brave swollen river to teach village kids in Chhattisgarh

Two female primary school teachers in Chhattisgarh’s Balrampur are earning praise for braving a swollen river confluence daily to ensure children in a remote village receive education. The teachers undertake a 3-km trek across rocky terrain, with one carrying her 9-month-old daughter across the wide river. During monsoons, the village is accessible only by crossing the Moran and Iriya rivers.
