Teachers join French students as protests over school conditions intensify
Teacher unions have joined students in protests demanding more education funding, smaller class sizes, building renovations and reforms to the university admissions system in France. About 400 high schools were closed or disrupted on Monday. Meanwhile, 6,000 people have been arrested amid violent clashes with police.
