A severe shortage of teaching staff has cast a shadow over the future of the nearly 70-year-old Government Degree College, Baijnath, Himachal Pradesh, as student enrolment has witnessed a sharp decline over the past three years. Once regarded as one of the premier institutions of higher education between Mandi and Dharamsala, the college is now struggling to attract students.
