Tech entrepreneur Ian Hogarth to head UK govt's AI taskforce

UK government has chosen tech entrepreneur Ian Hogarth to chair AI Foundation Model Taskforce. The taskforce will look into risks surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and conduct research on AI safety ahead of the first global summit on the issue. The summit will be hosted in UK. "We owe it to our children...to ensure AI develops safely," PM Rishi Sunak said.
