Tech firms oppose IT rule mandating unlawful post removal in 3 hrs: Report

India's technology firms are preparing a formal pushback against the government's newly notified IT rules, and representations are being drafted to IT Ministry, Moneycontrol reported. They are mainly opposing the mandate requiring platforms to remove unlawful content within three hours of receiving complaint. They are also opposing the framework for regulating synthetically generated information.
