Tech key pillar for India's self-reliance: PM on Technology Day

PM Narendra Modi extended greetings on National Technology Day on Monday. He said, "Technology has become a key pillar in building a self-reliant India...It is accelerating innovation and contributing to the nation’s growth." National Technology Day commemorates the successful nuclear tests in Pokhran in 1998, on which the PM said, "That landmark moment reflected India’s scientific excellence".
