Techie drowns in quarry pit during trekking trip near Bengaluru

Ganesh Anjaneya Vinay, a 30-year-old techie from Vijayawada residing in Ulsoor, drowned in a water-filled stone quarry pit on October 2 during a trekking trip organised via Instagram. He went missing while swimming with a group of eight. After a two-day rescue operation, his body was recovered on Sunday. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
