Technical issue causes explosion at Qatar's LNG production facility, 54 injured
A 'technical accident' caused an explosion leading to a fire at the world's largest LNG production facility, 'Ras Laffan', in Qatar on Sunday night, leaving 54 injured and 18 missing. The explosion occurred during the start-up of operations at the LNG facility. Qatar's Interior Ministry said in a statement there was no leak that posed a threat to public safety.
