Teen nearly dies after eating only vegetables, laxatives to fit into a dress in China

A 16-year-old girl from China's Hunan province narrowly escaped death after surviving for two weeks on a small amount of vegetables and laxatives, in an attempt to fit into a birthday dress, reported SCMP. She had suddenly lost strength in limbs and experienced severe shortness of breath. Medical examinations revealed her blood potassium levels had fallen to dangerously low levels.
