Tejas as good as French-made Rafale fighter jet: Parrikar

The indigenously manufactured light combat aircraft (LCA) 'Tejas' is as good as the French-made Rafale fighter jet and comparable with other top LCAs, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said on Saturday. Tejas can fly at 450 kmph while Rafale can reach 900 kmph as it has twin engines, he added. Notably, Tejas was inducted into the Indian Air Force this year.
