Tejas Mk2 first flight set for 2026, prototype over 60% complete

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) confirmed the Tejas Mk2's first flight is now set for Q1 2026, a slight delay. Over 60% of the prototype's structure is complete, with rollout expected by late 2025. This indigenous Light Combat Aircraft aims to significantly boost India's defence aviation capabilities, with ground tests preceding its maiden flight.
