Telangana approves Hate Speech and Hate Crime Prevention Bill

Telangana Cabinet approved the Hate Speech and Hate Crime Prevention Bill, 2026, to curb posts, speeches, or actions that disturb communal harmony. It also approved a sub-committee for Rohith Vemula Act to prevent caste discrimination in educational institutions. Additionally, Parents Support Bill was cleared, deducting 15% salary or ₹10,000 (whichever is lower) if elderly parents are neglected.
