Telangana culls 7,000 chicken after 5th bird flu outbreak

A bird flu outbreak has been reported in Kangal village, Siddipet, marking Telangana’s fifth case since February and the first in the district. The H5N1 virus hit a poultry farm with nearly 70,000 chickens. By April 9, 2000 birds were culled, with more in nearby farms being removed as a precaution.
