Telangana: ECI rejects 428 nominations for Lok Sabha polls

The ECI scrutinized 1,488 nominations for Lok Sabha elections, accepting 1,060 after rejecting 428. Among 893 candidates, 268 faced rejection due to multiple nominations. Malkajgiri had 115 rejections, leaving 62 candidates. Medak leads with 53 candidates, while Hyderabad has 38. Withdrawals by Monday may decrease contenders, but multi-cornered contests are anticipated.
