Telangana HC calls Speaker’s order on Danam Nagender flawed

The Telangana High Court disqualified MLA Danam Nagender and set aside Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar’s decision that allowed him to continue as an MLA. The court said the Speaker’s interpretation violated the constitutional mandate and described the ruling as suffering from “perversity in the eye of law” and a “breach of constitutional obligations”.
