Telangana's debt reaches ₹8 lakh crore: Congress govt report

Telangana's total debt stood at ₹8 lakh crore as of December 2025, a report by the Congress-run government said. It added that since December 2023, fresh loans of ₹3.19 lakh crore were raised, while ₹1.90 lakh crore was repaid as principal and ₹1.14 lakh crore as interest. In 2025-26, state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) was at ₹17.82 lakh crore.
