Telegram gets 3M new users in 24 hours amid Facebook outage

Messaging platform Telegram's Co-founder Pavel Durov said via his channel that three million users signed up within last 24 hours, adding, "Good...we have true privacy and unlimited space for everyone". This comes after Facebook and some of its apps including WhatsApp, Instagram faced partial global outage. "These outages always drive new users," TechCrunch quoted Telegram sources.
