Telegram takes dig at India ban, says 'Illegal to consume water as 3 lakh people drown annually'

Telegram has taken a dig at government's temporary ban on the messaging platform ahead of NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. In a sarcastic message, Telegram wrote, "Over 3,00,000 people die of drowning each year. In order to protect society, it's now illegal to consume or possess water. Your government is also considering banning solid food, as it presents a needless choking hazard."
