Temu fined ₹2,200 crore for breaching EU consumer safety rules
Chinese online retailer Temu has been fined €200 million (over ₹2,200 crore) by EU regulators for not doing enough to stop sale of illegal products. This follows preliminary findings that Temu was exposing consumers to high-risk products on its platform that didn't comply with EU consumer safety rules. Temu has to submit an action plan by the end of August.
