Tencent eyes stake in Manus after Meta's $2 billion deal setback

Chinese gaming firm Tencent is in talks to become the largest shareholder in AI startup Manus after Beijing ordered Meta to unwind its $2 billion acquisition, Reuters reported. Tencent, along with Manus' existing investors, plans to buy back the company for at least $2 billion. China launched a review in April to assess whether Meta's deal breached investment rules.
