Tencent's face recognition to stop minors from playing games at night

Chinese tech giant Tencent said it will use facial recognition to prevent children below the age of 18 from playing video games at night. The "Midnight Patrol" system will detect individuals who spend a significant amount of time online at night, it added. China in 2019 introduced a ban on minors playing online games between 10:00 pm and 08:00 am.
