Playing against Sri Lanka on February 5, 2008, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar scored his 16,000th ODI run to become the first and the only cricketer in the history to achieve this feat. Sachin retired from the ODI format of the game with 18,426 runs, with 49 centuries and 96 half centuries, in 452 innings.
