Terror attack foiled in Assam as police arrest 2 ULFA-I cadres

Assam Police, acting on intelligence inputs and with support from central security agencies, foiled an alleged terror plot by arresting two suspected active cadres of banned ULFA (Independent) outfit in Tinsukia. Police said the duo, Humenjyoti Baruah and Papu Moran, were tasked with carrying out indiscriminate firing on civilians. Both held the rank of "SS 2nd Lieutenant" within insurgent outfit.
