Terrorist plot targeting Grand Mosque in Mecca foiled

Saudi Arabia's security forces on Friday foiled a suicide attack on the Grand Mosque in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, the country's Interior Ministry said. The would-be attacker was cornered in an apartment where he blew himself up, injuring six civilians and five members of the security forces. The attack was planned by three terror groups, the Ministry added.
