Tesla owners could add cars to robotaxi fleet by 2027: Report

Tesla’s Ashok Elluswamy said on the company’s earnings call that customer-owned Model Y vehicles could join its Robotaxi fleet as early as April–June 2027. The cars would operate without supervision only in areas where Tesla already runs its Robotaxi service. In 2019, Elon Musk had predicted that Tesla would have more than one million robotaxis on the road by 2020.
