Tesla unveils in-house chip to train AI models in its data centres
Tesla has unveiled an in-house chip for training artificial intelligence networks in its data centres. The new Dojo D1 chipset, a part of Tesla's Dojo supercomputer system, uses a 7-nanometer manufacturing process, with 362 teraflops of processing power. The chip can help train models for recognising a variety of items from video feeds collected by cameras inside Tesla vehicles.
