Texas schools allow use of 'paddling' as punishment

A public school district in the US state of Texas has voted to reintroduce 'paddling' as a form of corporal punishment in elementary schools. Paddling is the act of spanking a person with a paddle as a form of punishment. Notably, school districts allowing corporal punishment in Texas are required to receive parents' consent.
