Textiles, two-wheelers witness consumption dip post GST reforms

Sector-wise data show textile supply value rose 8% in September and October, down from 12% last year, whereas two-wheelers grew 18%, compared with 23% previously. The slowdown is reported post GST 2.0 reforms introduction. The textile numbers are likely reflecting export headwinds, while two-wheeler consumption is down as affordability shifted towards smaller cars, a government source said.
