THAAD deployment disproportionate to N Korean threat: Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that South Korea's decision to deploy the THAAD anti-missile system from the US is disproportionate to the threat posed by North Korea. "The US global ballistic missile defence poses a deep risk to the security of the Asia-Pacific region," Lavrov added. The US started deploying THAAD in South Korea despite opposition from Russia.
