Thailand plans to roll out entry fee for air travellers

Thailand’s government is set to introduce a 300 Baht (₹856 approx) entry fee for foreign tourists arriving by air. The aim of introducing this fee is to generate revenue for tourism infrastructure, crowd control, and safety measures in Thailand. Authorities will integrate the charge into existing immigration or arrival procedures. However, the operational details are yet to be finalised.
