Thailand reports record 23,557 daily COVID-19 cases

Thailand on Thursday reported a record 23,557 new COVID-19 cases amid an outbreak of the Omicron variant. Under 1,81,000 people in Thailand are receiving treatment in hospitals or are currently isolating in the community. Around 69% of the population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Thailand has reported about 2.8 million cases and 22,768 deaths since the pandemic began.
