Thailand scraps 25-yr-old deal with Cambodia on energy exploration

Thailand has unilaterally cancelled a 25-year-old agreement with Cambodia to pursue joint offshore energy exploration despite Cambodia's objection. The deal pertained to the exploration of hydrocarbons in parts of the Gulf of Thailand. "Cancelling the deal is not related to the border conflict with Cambodia, but part of my policy," Thai PM Anutin Charnvirakul said.
