On Sunday, Pallavi Sarode (37), an assistant revenue officer and personal assistant to Thane Collector Ashok Shingare, drowned at Harihareshwar Beach in Raigad. Sarode was on a picnic with colleagues when she was swept away by strong waves. As per a statement issued by the administration, Sarode had travelled to Harihareshwar with her office colleagues.
