Thane probes IVF clinics after egg trafficking racket

The Thane Municipal Corporation has launched a major probe into fertility clinics in Thane after an egg-trafficking racket exposed in Badlapur. Six teams will inspect 11 IVF centres and 259 sonography clinics. Officials have already shut down an illegally operating IVF centre in the Gaodevi area during raids.
