Thane's tallest tower stuck on 10th floor, buyers asked to pay ₹5,000/sqft to finish construction

The 72-storey STG Star Living Project, marketed as Thane's tallest residential tower, has been stalled at the 10th floor since April 2023, Mumbai Mirror reported. A court-appointed resolution professional is now asking homeowners to pay ₹5,000/square feet extra to resume construction. Homebuyers said they've paid 45% of the apartments' costs already, and have refused to pay the extra amount.
