Tharoor was told about Savarkar award, had agreed to take it: NGO

Aji Krishnan, founder-secretary of NGO, HRDS India, said they told Shashi Tharoor about 'Veer Savarkar International Impact Award' a month ago and he had agreed to accept it and attend the event. "He might have faced pressure from Congress," Krishnan stated. Notably, Tharoor said that he is neither aware of nor had accepted the award.
