'The Exorcist' director William Friedkin passes away at 87

William Friedkin, who directed the classic horror film 'The Exorcist', passed away at the age of 87. Friedkin, who had also directed the action thriller 'The French Connection', died of pneumonia and heart failure at his home, Creative Artists Agency said. While 'The French Connection' won five Academy Awards, 'The Exorcist' was nominated for 10 Oscars and won two.
