The Odyssey beats Spider-Man to claim global weekend box office No. 1

Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' reclaimed the global weekend box office crown, earning $45.96 million (₹434.28 crore) in its eighth weekend to edge Spider-Man: Brand New Day's $44.1 million (₹416.7 crore). The Matt Damon-led epic has now grossed $1.62 billion worldwide, while 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has crossed $2.4 billion. 'The Odyssey' also became IMAX's highest-grossing film ever.
