The yellow microbe found in UP's pesticide dumpsite

Researchers from Delhi University and CSIR-IMTECH have discovered a new bacterial species, Microbacterium pollutisoli, thriving in toxic pesticide soil in Uttar Pradesh. The microbe carries genetic machinery capable of producing valuable compounds for vitamins, stress protection, and potential new antibiotics.
