There is an asteroid named after tennis star Rafael Nadal

Spain's world number one tennis player Rafael Nadal, who turned 32 today, has an asteroid named after him. The asteroid, discovered by an astronomical observatory on Nadal's home island of Majorca, was named after him when he beat Roger Federer in the Wimbledon 2008 final. Nadal's birthday coincides with French Open, a tournament he has won a record 10 times.
